Need books? I'm here for you.

NO, this post isn't ALL about the damn virus.

These last few weeks have been unprecedented and for many, scary.

COVID-19 (as much as we're all tired of hearing about it) is having a real impact on all of us, our families, our travel, and our day-to-day routines.

The long term effects of the virus on people and businesses is still not known. That fact alone can quickly overwhelm anyone. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has started turning off the news and just reading a few headlines online, for the sake of my sanity.

If I don't distance myself to some degree, I can't continue to write. I think a lot of people are facing similar situations. It is for these reasons that I'm running this promotion. (Now through the end of April 2020)

No, this isn't just a cash grab. It's a legitimate attempt to offer people an affordable escape from all this stress. Actually, I only make 35 cents from each sale of a 99 cents book. And obviously, I make nothing at all on the free ones. (Unless they're downloaded through KU)

Here are a few fan favorites that are now 99 cents. Many of these titles have never been on sale before. Ever. That includes every single book in my Lilith Mercury, Werewolf Hunter series.

The entire series can be found below the description of Red, Book One. ( On Amazon)

Red is FREE on Amazon US (It would be free everywhere, but that is Amazon's call, not mine.)

Looking for a bingable paranormal series to sink your teeth into? Fans of the Anita Blake and Sookie Stackhouse series are loving Lilith Mercury.

This is Book One in the Lilith Mercury Series.
Dr. Alfred Moody saved her life, but the werewolf, Marco may hold the key to her heart. She's torn between the man who saved her humanity and the one who makes her want to embrace the beast.
NOTE: This series gets hotter as it goes. However, Book One is NOT erotic. Someday Lilith will have a happy ending, but this is only the beginning.
WARNING: This book contains graphic language and graphic violence.

Eden is discounted for the very first time
99 cents or FREE with Kindle Unlimited

Not all paradise is lost.
Catrina's world is turned upside down the moment she agrees to Viktor's plan. Who even knew that Abraham Van Helsing had a younger brother? Not only that, but a brother who was turned by the King of Vampires and who held such obvious power. Now she must deal with the consequences of her actions and an attraction she can no longer deny. Viktor wants her to spy on the alpha werewolf, Alexander. He suspects Alex is responsible for the murder of a fellow vampire. However, there is one major problem with this plan. The werewolf is just as hard to resist as Viktor and Catrina is caught right in the middle.
Warning: This book contains, graphic language, graphic sex, violence, and two smoking hot heroes.

Till the Break of Dawn
99 cents or FREE with Kindle Unlimited

So what if he's immortal. It could work, right?
Thanks to a bet with her best friend, Dawn is about to get involved with the undead love of her life for the second time.
Warning: This book contains graphic sex, graphic language, and one smoking hot vampire.

As I've said, ALL of my books are either 99 cents or free right now. the only exceptions are boxed sets that already offer a significant discount. ;)

I hope this helps, I really do.

What the Lilith Mercury, Werewolf Hunter series means to me.

This post was originally written February 13, 2014, but since I still get a lot of questions regarding this series, I thought I'd share it again. And yes, it still means that much to me.

Everything I have ever written represents a part of who I am. But no story has ever been more personal to me than the Lilith Mercury series. The story is told from her perspective, but she is more an expression of myself than a work of fiction.

The scars Lilith carries are my own, both the ones you can see, and the ones you can't. Her thoughts, her emotions, even her hobbies are my own. Every trauma she experiences represents a similar experience in my life. Not literally, of course, but emotionally.

The men in her life are not there because she is a raging slut, nor do they represent men in my life. They represent different aspects of myself, therefore, they are no less a part of Lilith than her own heart.

Marco is everything I wish I could be, and everything I ever wanted. He is a true hero. He is tough when he has to be. He is kind. He gives a lot of himself to others and knows exactly what he wants. This is why Lilith turns to him for direction.

Dracula is my pain. He is my broken heart put onto paper. After everything is stripped away, when I am emotionally bare, he is the monster that remains. He is immortal, wounded, and lonely. He is the emotional equivalent  of everything that has caused me pain and how it changed me. That is why Lilith turns to him for comfort. If anyone understands pain and loss, it's Dracula.

Bade is my fantasies come to life, and I don't mean sexually. He says and does exactly what he wants, even if he knows it is wrong sometimes. Bade is always true to himself and that is why Lilith is drawn to him.

Alek represents my dreams. He can make people's dreams come true, even if it is only in their mind. He has the wisdom that I often wished I could have and gives the guidance that I often long for. That is what Lilith sees in him and why he is her confidant.

Elijah is my innocence. He is everything good in me and everything I feel that I have lost. He is the same for Lilith and that is why he means so much to her.

Lilith's powers say more about me than they do about her. She can take away the pain of others because that is something I have often longed to do. She heals with her emotions because I wish I could use mine to do the same.

Lilith wants more than anything to be normal, to be loved, and accepted for who she is. She is drawn to all the parts of her soul that are missing.

No, that doesn't mean that all these characters are or will be her lovers. (Some will be.) It means they are there for a reason.

Perhaps through growing as a person/character she can learn to accept these aspects of herself. Through writing her story, perhaps I can as well.

Maybe I shouldn't be this honest about myself and my writing. I just want people to know why I care so much about this series and why it matters to me.

Lots of exciting news! :)

First off, I just want to let everyone know that I'm still very much alive. LOL This past year has been rough for me and I realized that I've REALLY let my blogging go. Aside from personal and professional stresses of all kinds, I've been fighting the worst depression of my life. It's still strange for me to share that, but it's true and I see no reason to lie. There's still this stigma with depression, as if suffering through it makes you a head case. Well, the good news is, I'm improving. And the even better news is, this isn't a post about depression. Ha. Ha. I just want to catch everyone up with me and my life.

A few days ago, I got some wonderful news. Taming the Monster hit the USA Today Best Sellers list at #91. I can't wipe the smile off my face. Thanks so much to everyone who purchased this set and to all the authors in this set with me. I appreciate you all.

I'm still in shock over this one. We had such fun planning these stories. Taming the Monster actually started out on a whim. It was just a fun conversation between a few authors. "Wouldn't it be fun to do some monster romance?" That was the basic idea. Boy did we ever run with it. And to list on USA Today? Woohoo!

This is the second time I've hit the USA Today list. Both times I was in a set with some of the same incredibly talented writers. I'm very grateful to have reached this goal in my career.

Here's something else awesome that I finally got accomplished. By very popular demand, The Lilith Mercury series is now available in a "complete edition." All seven books in one boxed set.

I've had a lot of people asking about this as well, and the wait is nearly over for the final book in the Bound by Blood series. Are you ready to see how things turn out for vampire hunter Nicole Austin and her two hot men?

Pre-order your copy now to lock in the low price of 99 cents!

Releases November 1, 2015

As you all can see, I've been very, VERY busy. I've also been growing pumpkins! LOL But, I'll talk about that in another post. For now, I'm a little bit closer to being caught up and spending some time with friends and family.

The Bound by Blood series is almost complete

Nicole Austin has just inherited a curse. She is the next in line to become a badass vampire slayer. The problem is, she must drink some magical blood for the curse to take hold, and the side effects aren’t all pleasant.

She was just beginning to develop a relationship with her neighbor, Max, who is also a sexy werewolf. However, what once drew her to him may now be reason enough to keep them apart. She can’t hunt one monster and consort with another, can she?

As if she didn’t have enough to deal with, there is the matter of a werewolf hunter in town. His name is Vladislav. He’s tall, dark, sexy, and obviously interested in Nicole.

There are a few loopholes, but only one that might stop Nicole from being the next vampire slayer. True love, and she’s got one month to find it.

Warning: This series contains graphic sex, graphic language, and graphic violence. It also has multiple (smoking hot) partners. There will be a happy ending.

NOTE: Each installment in this series ends with a cliffhanger.

The Bound by Blood series tells the story of Nicole Austin and her family’s curse. These stories are meant to be read in order.

Books 1-3 in this series are available now at Amazon for only 99 cents, and Book 4 is up for pre-order. These prices WILL change. Starting November 1, 2015, this series will be available on Barnes & Noble, iBooks, KOBO, and many other outlets. As they go live on these vendors, price changes will go into effect.

It's alive!

Ha. Ha. Ha. Sorry for the bad Frankenstein reference, but I have been working with Notte Oscura again. For those not familiar, that's the theme park from Frank and The Werewolf Tamer.

Anyway, I just realized that I've only blogged ONCE since the New Year started and thought, "Holy crap! People will think I'm dead!" LOL

So, I'm not dead. Try to control your disappointment. (Yes, that's a joke.) I got an early start today and I'm feeling really good. Already finished my workout, cleaned the house, and got at least one cup of coffee in me. Now, I just need to write something.

Oh, and that brings me back to my point. I'm pinging this morning like an old game of Pong. LOL

I have been working so hard that I've forgotten to blog! Here's an update on what I've been doing. Some of it is work/writing related, some isn't.

The Bound by Blood series is complete, and is now being released in serialized installments of 40-20,000 words each. Here is the release schedule and current books available for those interested. Each segment will be 99 cents.

Bound by Blood Release Schedule:

Book One - Oriana's Curse - Available now
Book Two - Demon's Embrace - May 2015
Book Three - Dragon Slayer Dreams - August 2015
Book Four - Enter the She-Dragon - November 2015
All parts will be available on Kindle Unlimited

Book One, Oriana's Curse is out now and Book Two, Demon's Embrace is up for pre-order. Just click the images for more information.

Other than making sure that this series was fully edited, along with all the other things that happen before a book is released, I've been writing new stuff.

I just finished a novella called Sacrifice that will be out sometime in October. It will first be part of an anthology (more news on that as the date gets closer) and then released as a single title. I still have a lot of work to do on this one, but the majority of the work, and the basic story, is finished. Yay!

I'm about halfway finished with another novella, though this one will be longer, that returns to Notte Oscura. I've gotten a lot of requests to write more in the same world as Frank and the Werewolf Tamer. This story has been a reader favorite ever since its release in 2011. Now, finally, a new story is going to happen.

The title for this one is Night Touch. It is about a woman who has visions based on touch, skin against skin contact. She comes to Notte Oscura to escape her nightmares one night and meets Kurtis. Lots of familiar faces (because I see them all so clearly) are returning in this one.

Night Touch will be released this fall as part of a Carnival series. More details on that later as well. I can say that many other authors are involved in this one, not just myself. And of course, I think it will be amazeballs. Wow. I just said amazeballs. Maybe I've had too much caffeine. LOL

Anyway, once I finish Night Touch and get it off to my editor, I'd like to write another series. No promises on this at the moment as I've barely made any notes at all. But, my muse is going crazy with new ideas. I'd really like to write a series that delves more into fantasy creatures, dark faeries, mythology, and all that good stuff. If anything comes of it, I'll be sure to let you all know.

In the meantime, just know that I am working my butt off.

I've also been doing a lot of gardening. Good grief this post is running long. Ha. Ha. I'm doing a lot of projects around the house. Fixing things up, trying to improve the landscape, etc. Sure, I could hire someone, but I really need the exercise and I enjoy the work.

Speaking of exercise, I'm trying to incorporate more into my daily life also. I had gotten so focused on work that over the holidays I completely stopped working out. Ugh! I hate it when that happens. Now it's time to break the bad habits of eating junk food and sitting on my ass.

Okay, I'm going to stop rambling and get back to writing Night Touch and drinking coffee. Have a good one!
